Concerned about disguised surveillance? Our expert team answers the most frequently asked questions about our Pennsylvania bug sweeping services and how we safeguard your privacy.

Your bug sweep will be performed by a certified TSCM technician who has undergone a thorough background check.  All of our bug sweepers are fully trained by equipment manufacturer technicians who are former Department of Defense TSCM operatives, as well as through our ongoing in-house training program.  Our technicians have also completed over 1,000 sweeps each.

TSCM stands for Technical Surveillance Countermeasures. This acronym is used by security professionals for what is known as a “bug sweep.” when referring to carrying out a thorough inspection of a house, business, vehicle, or any other object for locating the presence of spying devices, better known as “bugs.”

Our Pennsylvania bug sweep technicians are trained to find hidden cameras, microphones, recording devices, transmitters, receivers, and with GPS trackers. They are also able to examine existing Wi-Fi signals, routers, and Bluetooth. It doesn’t matter if these devices are on or off, wired or wireless, our advanced electronic detection devices will find them.

The only way to ensure if your house is free and clear of any bugging devices is to hire a professional bug sweeping service with years of proven experience. We need to use more than 8 different advanced electronic detection equipment priced more than $150,000 to properly sweep a place. Our bug sweeps are extremely comprehensive and consist of both a physical and electronic inspection. Our TSCM technicians know what to look for, even when the bugging devices are hidden within mundane objects.

Yes, we can, but many so-called bug sweepers can’t! Because, to find a bugging device that is turned off, you need to use a non-linear junction detector (NLJD), and they are very costly, varying in price from $15,000 to $20,000. We will use the NLJD all over your Pennsylvania home to find electronic bugging devices that can be as small as a grain of rice, on or off. They can also be hidden in furniture, planters, drapes, and even picture frames.

Yes, you might get lucky and discover a hidden camera or recorder, but most bugging devices are hidden inside everyday objects and require very expensive detection equipment to locate them.  Many clients don't know what to look for and may miss a bugging device right in front of them.  It's best to hire a professional bug sweeper.

The issue with mobile phone apps is that they simply do not work, and the majority of them will produce a false positive, indicating that a bugging device is present when there is none.  Almost everyone who hires a professional bug sweeper has already purchased a cheap RF detector and discovered the hard way that it does not work.

You can definitely spend your money on an RF detector, BUT most of these cheap detectors are useless. They pick up every radio frequency, including your Wi-Fi, your neighbors’ Wi-Fi, radio stations, TV stations, etc. These cheap devices can’t pinpoint or identify the actual source of the signal. Unfortunately, most of the people who hire us have already purchased these cheap, ineffective devices, wishing they hadn’t wasted their money on them. The RF detector we use costs more than $40,000!
